I am one too many shots....

I really enjoy that title for some reason ("inside chuckle").

What another busy weekend....Averell's b-day(Happy b-day brotha!), dragonboat(Go alpine go!) - I saw a bunch of people there that row now too...criznazy, Kay and Joey's (I can say their names now!) wedding shower, hangin out w/ the calmelats(Domino-mother-effer!!!), church, hangin out w/ the bff(finally), and hangin out w/ the future roomie...whew! I really need a vacation to just do NOTHING, but I I think I'll wait until I move to do that...I know I can easily just NOT do anything...but I want to do nothing and veg out in my bed, which currently would draw too much attention from the parentals.... anyway, onto the random topics of the day...

Someone keeps taking all of the dang tissues from my desk at work. This is the 3rd time in a row now that I have needed to get one and have found my box EMPTY! Wtf? At least replace it...and I'm sure the culprit resides near me, but their boxes are full. Time to pull the switcharoo, he he he.

I went to Church twice yesterday. Once because of choir and then I went again cuz me and jem hung out and she hadn't gone yet. So we went to St. Monica's. Their 5PM youth choir mass is pretty crazy. It's like totally Gospelly and soully. Clappin hands, and singin more modern songs(some of the worship songs we used to sing at Interfaith, which is how I knew them) and even some from the usual missals...but theirs was far more upbeat. St Tim's adult choir is totally choral...such a big difference, but both are equally awesome to me. Just like music...I think I have a rather eclectic taste for music...from classical, to oldies, to jazz, to hip-hop to whatever...it's all good in the hood...

I was at Long Beach on Saturday for the Dragonboat races and I was just doin my usual thing people watchin and saw some rather large people in swimsuits. I remember seeing the same thing last week at the beach too... You know most of us criticize them for wearing such small clothes because it's indecent, or embarrasing. But I started thinking about it a little bit....do they really deserve criticism and jokes? or do they deserve some respect and even some admiration? Because they are obviously more comfortable with their bodies far more than I am, or other people for that matter. They feel comfortable enough to wear it, so why can't they? It's all part of the whole societal implications we place on beauty and fashion. Kinda sucks. People kinda suck, present company included....

I am trust's fuzzy form...

I haven't been feeling like myself lately...like I'm another person walking around in another body, if that makes any sense at all. I would've thought it would be a welcome change, but in fact, it isn't much of a change at all. It just feels as though nothing is important anymore - weird. One would think it a relishing experience to change identities after so much thinking, so much brooding, so much..well, so much...

I am the thorn in the lion's paw...

Was it a thorn? I think so. Why do the tiniest little injuries sting so much? When I got that cut on my arm, it didn't really hurt that bad. But right now, I have a frickin measley little hangnail, and it hurts like hell. Weird I tell ya.

Funny how the weather is reflective of mood, not always, but sometimes. So gloomy in the morning, which is exactly how I'm feeling...blah. I really need to find some time to just relax and not do anything at all, actually, I need to do things still, but at least theyr'e not "busy" type things. Clean my room, do laundry, start packing. I hate taking vacations to do those things though...vacations are meant for just that, vacation. And for me, that means going somewhere.

Eh, don't feel like writing today anymore...

I am the oncoming headwind...

My allergies started acting up a bit today. I'm a lot better now than I was this morning though. At first, I was thinking, dang, I made it through most of the summer w/o my allergies acting up...and then I looked at my calendar and realized...shiyoot, it's only July SIXTH? Summer isn't even halfway done yet! I feel like I've done so much lately I'm quite surprised it's only the first week of July. I guess that, coupled with that I want summer to be over already makes the days go by a little slower than expected.

I woke up the other day to a freakin calf-cramp...not many other ways to be unpleasantly ripped from slumber. That ish hurt like a mofo man. I remember I was having a nice little dream, and all of the sudden, a searing tearing pain wakes me up INSTANTLY. I grabbed for my leg and knew I had to stretch it asap. I straight rolled off the bed onto the floor hitting a few things on my way down and started stretching...geez louise that was torture. And now I my calf is still sore. Word to the wise, always make sure you're hyrdrated, drink lots of water when you can...cramps are a sign of the lack thereof.

The office is soooo quiet. It's like those days back in elementary school when you didn't sell enough boxes of chocoate to go to disneyland with everyone else, so there's like 10 people in class and you just get to play boardgames and do whatever. Less than half my department is here. I think I'ma go home early today...once I get out of this 2 hour mtg...

I am the anchor leg...

Hope everyone had a good 4th. Went to a friend from work's beer partay and got pretty driznunk. You'd be amazed how quickly you can get inebriated after about 2 hours of tasting various beers. It was good fun though, and I was still able to get up early the next morning. Followed 4th of July eve with a family bbq and pool party at Brandy's house. Here are some pics from the pool.

After some good eats and good fun in the sun, it was time to head out to Culver City High for the annual fireworks show. There were a ton of people there, and luckily, after B and I dropped off the girls by the school, we were able to find a great parking spot. Saw my godson and cousins over there too...actually they saved us a spot for the show...

SOOOO hard to catch fireworks with a camera like this.

Anyway, that was my holiday...office is way quiet today...WAY quiet. I think over half the company took the day off...and tomorrow probably too. They should've just give us these days off...for real.

I am the return of regular movement...

With regards to my previous post. That wasn't my iphone...I only wanted to make it look like it was to make joemama jealous, ha ha ha.

What a busy weekend...b-day parties on Friday and saturday, errands all saturday morning(starting at 8AM after staying out til like 3AM the night before) and another late night followed by waking up early to set up for another piznarty. Friday was Tammy's b-day at Villa Sorisso(sp?) in pasadena...it was fun, got to have a few drinks and dance and eat...not in that order. That place is pretty cool, should hit it up again. Saturday was Trish's b-day at the beverly hilton, more of a socializing event than anything, but hey, what's not fun about free alcohol? And sunday, was the big day, Chris and Iya's....Wedding Shower. A ton of people showed up and most of the food was eaten, and seems like everyone had a good time, I would have to say it was a successful event. Other than the actual event starting at about 12:30, everything else went off w/o a hitch. Games were played, food was eaten, dancing was danced, and pictures were taken. All in all, good times, good friends and family and good fun. Thx to Anna and Rochelle for all your hard work in planning and shopping around and stuff, and everyone else too of course, it took a lot of people to make that day possible, I barely did anything...

I am a glistening forehead...

Check it out...
